I purposely went down to the beach to capture images at low tide while the sun was going down. I was almost in the dark when I left. This is a multiple layered image made up of two sand images and a tallship from my archives. Sand ripples and reflection under layers of texture and colour with brushes to enhance the mood and story of this piece. The tall ship coming out of my imagination into view with the ripples inviting you into my world of whimsy. I'm using my favourite combination of colours here to emphasise the reflection of light in the tidal pools where these ripples reside plus slight movement of my camera to create a minimal multiple exposure feel. Bio- I'm a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Yes, born and raised in the big city and moving throughout the surrounding areas over my lifetime. I believe we live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, and I could not fathom living anywhere else. I've raised a family here and enjoy moments with my grandbabies who become photo props themselves. There is no loss of subjects and scenery to capture here which leaves me forever grateful that I may enjoy and photograph all that inspires me.
